Tortilla Taco Bake

Some recipes are just a feel good food. This is all the goodness of tacos with only 1/2 the mess. I found this recipe online and made my own little adjustments. It got a thumbs up from from my family and several good friends. Try it and see what you think. 

Tortilla Taco Bake

1 lb Hamburger
1 Small Onion Diced
1 Pkg. Taco Seasoning Mix
9 Med. Tortilla Shells
1 (16oz.) Can Refried Beans
1 (4oz.) Can Green Chilies, Chopped -(Do not drain)
2 C. Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 Large Can Cream Of Mushroom Soup
3/4 C. Sour Cream
  
*Sour Cream and Salsa for Topping

Brown Hamburger and onions. Drain, Return to pan and mix with can of Refried Beans. Add Taco Seasoning and Green Chilies. In a Separate bowl combine Sour Cream and Cream Soup. Spread 1/2 of Cream mixture in the bottom of a  large 9x13 Oven safe glass pan. Top with 3 Tortilla shells, ( Tearing them to make them cover the entire surface.  Add a layer Meat Mixture on top of the shells and spread out. Sprinkle with cheese and repeat. End layering with the cheese layer. For additional flavor add a small can of Ripe olives to the top under the cheese layer. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes and serve with a dab of sour cream and your favorite Homemade Salsa. ENJOY!
