The smell that will fill your home while you bake these cookies will make any ordinary day seem like something special. Something about a warm Molasses cookie will make you dream in warm colors like the shades of the falling leaves. Jumbo Molasses Cookies
3 c butter flavored Crisco
4 cups sugar
1 c molasses
4 eggs
8 c flour
2 T. plus 2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp ginger
additional sugar
Large
mixing bowl cream Crisco and sugar. Add molasses and eggs. combine dry
ingredients. Combine them. cover and refrigerator 1-2 hrs. Shape 1/4 c fulls
of dough into balls. Roll in sugar. Place 4 cookies on a sheet at 1
time. bake @ 350 for 18-20 min. yield 3 1/2 doz.
