Little know fact, Kool-Aid was invented in my home state of Nebraska in a small town named Hastings. The year was 1927. Growing up as poor kids in a large family we would often make this syrup to go on top of icecream as well. It's a simple syrup, but packs a punch and the flavors are many.
KOOL-AID SNOW CONE SYRUP
1 pkg. Any Flavored Kool-Aid
1 Cup Water
1 1/2 Cups Sugar
1 8 oz. Mason Jar
Using a medium sauce pan, combine water and sugar and bring to a boil. After sugar is completely dissolved, remove from heat and let cool. Add flavored Kool-aid packet and mix well. Pour mixture into Mason jar and store in a cool place. Syrup will thicken as it cools. ENJOY!
