Belgian Waffles
I can't take it. I love waffles! Morning, noon, and night there is just nothing better. This has always been a small issue for me and my hubby, because he likes pancakes better and if he is to eat any of the waffles he will want to them to be nice an fluffy with crisps edges. So, for Christmas this year... he gave me a new waffle maker and it is AMAZING! Finally, we are both HAPPY!!! Waffles at least once a week, and no mix to buy. This recipe will work for any waffle maker and it is so easy.
Belgian Waffles
2 C Flour
2 Tbls. Sugar
4 Tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 Tsp. Salt
2 C. Milk
1/2 C. Butter, Melted, Cooled
3 Eggs Seperated
In large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt until well mixed. In medium bowl, whisk milk, butter and egg yokes until blended. Pour into dry ingredients and stir until mixed. In a large bowl, beat egg whites with mixer until stiff peaks appear. Fold mixture into batter. Pour mixture into waffle maker and proceed according to waffle maker instructions. This recipe makes about 12 large waffles and work great to freeze and use later. ENJOY!
