Pie Crust

This is Great Grannies recipe for pie crust and it is a never fail. Add a milk wash and some sugar for a Sweet pie or and egg wash to your savory pies and it is delightful! Although I have never thought of myself as a very accomplished pie maker. I have found that when you use this recipe you will have a great tasting crust no matter how pretty it looks. I really should try to learn this art!

Pie Crust

4 Cups Flour
1 3/4 Cups Shortening
1 Tbsp. Sugar
1/2 Cup Water (Ice Water)
2 Tsp. Salt
1 Tbsp. Vinegar
1 Egg

Mix together and chill until ready to use.

*Using Ice Water makes the crust more Flaky.
