Jason's Kettle Corn

LOL....so yes, this recipe has been named many things, but the most popular is Crack Corn. Why you may ask, because it is awesome and if  you start eating it....forget about stopping. In fact there just might be a 12 step process that you will have to do just to be able to walk away and not make it every night. It is easy, to make and if you wanted to...you could make it and sell it for an outlandish profit. You just never know..Jason may just load up one day and become a Carnie. =)

Jason's Kettle Corn

1/4 Cup Sugar *(Colored Sugar = Colored Popcorn for special occasions)
1/4 Cup Oil
1/3 Cup Popcorn
Splash of Vanilla (Optional) - He leaves it out most of the time!
Salt to taste

In an old fashioned Crank popcorn popper heat oil in bottom of kettle. Place 3 kernels of popcorn in the oil and let sit until they pop. When you hear them pop pour in popcorn and sugar and start cranking. I would recommend that you wear long gloves or place a towel on the arm that is holding the kettle..or you will be getting splattered with tiny grease pellets. When you think that most of the kernels have popped...dump in a plastic bowl and salt. Wait a few min. and toss lightly and salt again. Taste test and Serve. =)
